Zoë Macavoy | Founder and CIC Director
My love of the natural world started with an obsession with all things zoological as a child! Over the years this has evolved into a desire to preserve and restore the environment on which we all depend and in turn, this has led to my ‘passion project’. I strongly believe that when communities work together we can achieve great things, and that is my hope for Green Earth Plan CIC.
The quote I keep in my mind every day is very well known, but never has a truer word been spoken, “Be the change you wish to see in the world” by Gandhi. Gone are the days when we could let someone else take responsibility for our future, we all have a part to play to change the destructive course we are on and create a new way forward. It’s not going to be easy but it will be worth it, and we can help each other along, one a day at a time.

Climate change and biodiversity loss hasn’t always been at the top of my agenda, however since having my daughter, I started to think about what our natural world would look like both for her and for her children in the future and it scared me.
I felt compelled to help others to have this realisation and through my role at Green Earth Plan, I aim to inspire others to make positive changes that will benefit themselves and their families now and in the years to come.

I truly believe that encouraging and supporting the collaboration of like-minded people to take steps to preserve our planet and its inhabitants will have an incremental effect. Offering support and ideas we can help others to think of the “green earth” and plan what steps they can take to reduce waste, live sustainably and preserve our wonderful planet. Independently we can take small steps; together we can achieve huge and lasting change.
I hate waste, never throw away any pieces of material or products that can be re-used and take delight in upcycling, repurposing and recycling items to give them another useful life, rather than ending up in landfill! One of the ways I hope to help the Green Earth Plan community is to offer ideas for making use of items that would otherwise be confined to a bin!

I've always had a strong passion for nature and animal conservation. Assisting any new ideas to help nature thrive within society and in the wild. I am a big supporter of Green Earth Plan, due to their transparency in goals, ideas and ethics. It stands for great collaboration between passionate people that will lead the innovative future.
Chelsea | GEP-lings Advocate
I created Chelsea’s Litter Club because the amount of litter I saw on walks with my family and my dog made me really sad, I couldn’t understand why people would just leave it on the ground. My hope for the future is that people will take responsibility for their own litter and we can close down the club because the world will be a better place.

I have always been passionate about nature and it’s been a lifetime goal to educate myself more about sustainability and give back to the Earth. I feel strongly about making a difference and feel I can achieve this by working with Green Earth Plan.
I want to learn more about how to bring about positive environmental change by building communities and sharing sustainable living practices. I want to reach as many people as possible to ensure that we can inspire and change peoples way of thinking.
My desire to learn and grow is what has led me to Green Earth Plan. A quote that inspires me is: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” by Nelson Mandela. I cannot wait to help make an impact.
